China vs. the World: How the West deals with Chinese influences

The new NGIZ Noord Board is delighted to announce its first lecture, titled: “China vs the World: How the West deals with Chinese influences” (with a focus on the usage of Chinese apps such as TikTok and WeChat).

The lecture will be held on Tuesday, 22nd of September 2020! Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this lecture will take place online via Blackboard Collaborate. The lecture will start at 19/30h! It is free of charge and open for everyone to attend.

Our speaker is Dr Rogier Creemers who is a lecturer of Modern Chinese Studies at Leiden University. His main research interests are the interaction between law, governance, and information technology in China, and Chinese politics-legal ideology.

His lecture will be an interactive session and all participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, engage in debate, and share their opinions!
